Hey guys!

Angel is fantastic TV show that drives us to the world of fantasy, horror drama and supernatural powers. It was aired on October 5, 1999 on the WB network and captured jillions of viewers with its exceptional theme. Indeed this is the show for the craziest fans of fantasy and horror.

In fact friends I am also a die hard fan of this fantastic show. And I wanna take you through some of my favorite Angel episodes that left an everlasting impression on my mind.

Okay! Guys lets have a glance over some incredibly hilarious and much loved episodes of Angel TV show. Episodes that left a mark on my mind and I can easily recall Angel seasons that was aired in May 2004. In fact these are the finale episodes of this TV show. This show was at its last stage in the month of May.

Whereas I remember “The girl in Question”, “Power Play” and “Not Fade Away” are amongst the few episodes. All these three episodes were as superb as the earlier ones. But these are my personal favorite because I was aware of the fact that the show is on verge to end and I felt sad because I really enjoyed watching the show.

“The Girl In Question” was aired on May 5, 2004. It was incredibly written by Steven S. DeKnight & Drew Goddard. In this episode Angel and Spike’s efforts towards liberty of Buffy from old nemesis, was heart stroking moment of this episode.

Furthermore if I talk about the second episode of this month that was aired on 12^th May,

David Fury had lucratively piled up the incidents and situations of “Power Play” episode. The gang’s speculations were turning into conformations about Angel after knowing his troubling behavior. While Spike was looking for a devil with Illyria, all was really fabulous.

“Not Fade Away” was the third and the last show of this month as well as of the series. Jeffrey Bell & Joss Whedon lends their hands for this episode. It was supposed to be the last day for Angel before they leave to take out the circle of Black Thorn. And in reality it was also the last day of Angel with its fans.

Hey everyone. I was watching some episodes of Angel last Thursday; a thought crossed my mind as to how these people worked upon the story lines to weave up such wonderfully unique episodes?

So, I got hold of, Mac, a good friend of mind, who is insanely crazy about Angel and he enlightened me on the writing of Angel. I feel there may be more ignorant fans like me, so here I share what I learned from Mac.

Mutant Enemy is a production company founded in 1997 by Joss Whedon and the whole process of script - writing is done by the company but the credits are given to the writers working there, notable of them being Tim Minear, Steven S. DeKnight, David Greenwalt, Mere Smith, David Fury, and Jeffrey Bell.

It is said, that Jane Espenson, who worked on Angel’s parent show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer for five years, is the first one to share the working at the Mutant Enemy Productions. First, there is a meeting of the writers, where an idea is introduced, which is mostly done by Whedon himself. The group then deliberates on the possible central theme of the particular episode, as well as the characters and their roles. This is followed by yet another meeting at the foyer to office of Whedon, to further brainstorm on slicing the story into scenes and acts. Here also, the complete group is present, with the exception of the person who is writing the earlier episode.

When all this is done, the team of writers makes up the scenes on the whiteboard with a marker, highlighting a “brief ordered description of each scene.” Then one of them is chosen to work on the pointers of the concept of that particular episode in a time frame of one day, with, if possible some jokes and dialogues as well. Then this is passed on to the runner of the show, who takes another day for a revision. The writer then takes help of this revised sketch to work on the first draft of the story, as the other team members, work on the others. Then the first draft is handed over for revision anywhere between 3 to fourteen days which is followed by a second draft and if needed a third draft may also be written. After several deliberations the final draft is Okayed and is named as “shooting draft”.
